  1. Hi Ray,

Thanks for the invitation, I'm always eager to talk about tackling climate change. If you're like me , you understand that the majority of Americans in all parties acknowledge climate change and want the government to reduce toxic air and heat trapping carbon pollution. Citizens' Climate Lobby has been advocating our members of the US Congress to create the political will needed to pass effective legislation. Our 200K supporters nationwide lobbied with phone calls, letters, and in person meetings with our members of Congress for passage of the Inflation Reduction Act. I'll be inviting your listeners to join in our advocacy for current legislation, the Energy Permitting Reform act.

  2. I'm a little confused. Are we moving on to work on climate? That's good, but maybe given our prior emphasis as Jewish Voice for Peace we could connect the climate issue to the terrible climate effects of explosives in war? There has been some work on this, mostly focusing on use of fuel by militaries, but not as much regarding the discharges from bombings. Let's make the point that war is very bad for the climate!

  3. Another relevant to war thing to consider is climate migration. Unpresidented drought In Syria led to farmers migrating to the city. And then, with no means to support themselves, blaming the government on their lack of support, which led to the Civil War. Israel's greedy grabs for land from the. Palestinians. may be a result of their own food insecurity. from extreme weather that affects their crops.
